We bow deeply to tradition while weaving in study on contemporary advances to suit any practitioner. Green Mountain Ashtanga is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for all beings to engage with Yoga closer to its truer embodiments, as we keep the pitfalls of its Western representation at arm’s length.
Anyone can learn this practice of breath, presence, and movement. Beginners are especially welcome. Green Mountain Ashtanga Yoga is located within Burlington, Vermont's heart: Church Street. We are in the Leunig’s building, upstairs. Find yourself in a welcoming, cozy environment to initiate or continue to cultivate your yogic discipline. For those yet unfamiliar with a Mysore style practice: the class is not 3.5 hours long for the student. You will see on the sign up page it runs 5:00AM to 9:30AM. This is the window in which you drop in and practice as long as you wish. Half hour, two hours: whatever you need on that particular day. Personalized attention given to everyone during practice. Mysore style is great for beginners! Please contact me if you would like clarification on how it works, or, just show up and you will quickly understand this traditional method not offered anywhere else in the area.
